You have undoubtedly seen a few Oppo smartphones if you reside in Europe, Australia, or Asia.
Although while Oppo may not be as well-known as Samsung, it consistently ranks among the top five worldwide smartphone brands (based on market share), and the majority of its devices now go on sale in the UK, across Europe, and in Asia.
With frequent updates and upgrades to its Android software shell ColorOS, which is currently one of our favourite versions of Android, we’ve witnessed advancements in its hardware and more competitive smartphones overall over the past several years.
The Find X5 lineup, which includes the Find X5 Pro and Find X5 Lite, is Oppo’s most recent 5G flagship range. It was introduced in early 2022. The Find X3 series are technically models from 2021 because the firm skipped the Find X4, and because of price reductions, many of them are still good deals. Early in 2023, the Find X6 series is anticipated.
Although the company’s Reno line doesn’t consistently debut in the UK and Europe, there are still certain Reno alternatives available, and the latest Reno 8 series has actually released internationally. The business also has affordable Oppo A series devices and Find N foldables, albeit only the Find N2 Flip is currently marketed outside of China.

2023 Oppo phones to buy.
Best Cheap Flagship: Oppo Find X5.
Only a few of the most luxurious features available on the Find X5 Pro are not present on the Oppo Find X5. It still has a high-end appearance, an excellent display, and a nearly identical camera configuration.
Essentially, the only things you give up are the newest processor, the IP certification, and the ceramic casing. Instead, the phone is powered by the (still fantastic) Snapdragon 888 from last year.
Most significantly, it offers tremendous value straight away by undercutting several flagship competitors.
Best Flagship: Oppo Find X5 Pro.
The Find X5 Pro, Oppo’s feature-packed flagship phone for spring 2022, is still a top-notch phone today.
There is no disputing that it is pricey. Nevertheless, you also get the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, 12GB of Memory, 256GB of storage, and both 50W and 80W of wired charging.
Both the primary and ultrawide cameras have a 50Mp sensor, and both provide images with vibrant colours, a tonne of detail, and a wide dynamic range. Unfortunately, there is just a 2x zoom camera present, but the outcomes are still stunning.
Although the design requires some getting used to and the phone is large and hefty due in part to the ceramic back, it is a great all-arounder that excels in many respects.
We believe that its replacement, the Find X6 Pro, is most likely just around the way, which is the only genuine reason not to purchase it.
Oppo Find N: Best Foldable Book.
The Oppo Find N is one of the greatest foldables available, so it’s unfortunate that it’s only available in China for the time being, along with its successor, the Find N2, which we haven’t yet had a chance to test.
Nonetheless, the original Find N that we tried is a fantastic piece of technology if you’re courageous enough to import it. This boasts one of the strongest folding designs available, combined with flagship specifications, including a highly competent triple back camera (however, unlike Samsung’s newest, there is no waterproofing).
The best Oppo phone is the Oppo Find N2 Flip.
The only Oppo foldable available for purchase outside of China is the Find N2 Flip, which directly competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.
While Oppo benefits from having a very reasonable pricing, especially in the UK, don’t think that this makes it the most affordable choice. It still features a premium chipset, has a nicer construction than Samsung’s device, and has the same primary camera as devices like the OnePlus 11.
You’ll have to go without wireless charging and water resistance, and you’ll need to be okay with the possibility that a foldable phone won’t last as long as a regular phone. Nonetheless, if you can accept those tradeoffs, this is just great.
