Sony Bravia XR revealed seven new TVs at MWC 2023, ranging from entry-level models to high-end OLED and Micro LED displays. The four Televisions in the Bravia XR lineup now include a new Sony technology dubbed XR Clear Picture, which is the most noticeable change from last year.
The upgraded Cognitive Processor XR, a mainstay of Sony TVs, is said to deliver XR Clear Picture, which is said to increase noise reduction and motion clarity. As a result, scenes with rapid movement should have less blur and seem more lively. a bonus for movie fans, especially those who enjoy action films.
Moreover, XR Clear Picture enhances 4K upscaling specifically for various resolutions, resulting in reduced noise resolution and enhanced overall image quality. This still holds true if you’re using a Blu-ray player or another device to view the video.
Further improvements to the image quality for the 2023 range from Sony include 200% brighter tones on the A95L QD-OLED model compared to the A95K from last year, and more local dimming zones on the X95L Mini-LED model for reduced blooming. The X90L is available up to 98in for those who desire a super-sized television.
All of the Bravia XR TVs are IMAX upgraded and offer Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. They also have Acoustic Centre Sync, which, provided the soundbar in question is likewise a Sony product, syncs the TV’s audio with its centre channel.
They all include Google TV OS in addition to Bravia Core, which is Sony’s collection of films and TV shows. Sony will give you ten free credits and 24 months of free streaming if you buy a Bravia XR model.
The Bravia XR Televisions are equipped with a 3-way aluminium stand that enables the TVs to be set up in three different ways: as is, narrowly for smaller surfaces, or elevated to accommodate a soundbar.
The Televisions that are included in Sony’s 2023 Bravia XR lineup are:
