Looking for a Laptop Know Here the 3 Advantages and Disadvantages of Vaio FE14 Laptop Before Make a Purchase.

-

Vaio FE14 laptop: If the name Vaio makes you feel familiar, it’s because Sony formerly controlled the business until 2014. At that time, Vaio has produced laptops on its own for a variety of purposes, including professional and artistic ones. This includes the Vaio FE14, a midrange work laptop for occasional usage that costs $599 at Walmart, but Vaio still has a lot to do to make the FE14 seem like a contemporary laptop. This budget laptop cannot compete with the industry’s best performers because it is too sluggish, too dark, too drab, and too garish. As comparison to the Vaio FE, you may buy a significantly superior display, CPU, and cosmetics for your money. Top 5 Best Super Zooming Camera of 2023, Read The Review Here.

What we enjoy

The battery life is adequate.

mint_mobile July'23

The FE14’s battery life of seven hours and eleven minutes is almost enough to last a complete workday, though it won’t be setting any records. Setting the laptop’s display to 200 nits and cycling through 20 popular websites until the battery was completely depleted allowed us to assess how long the battery would last under typical everyday use. It’s a nice illustration of typical use for a typical productivity job that combines online browsing, streaming videos, and document editing.

The usual battery life of comparably equipped budget laptops is between five and six hours; the FE14 lasts longer. The Vaio FE14’s seven hours are comparable to midrange and premium work laptops, whose battery lives we anticipate to be at least seven hours and preferably reach nine hours.

a lot of helpful features

Although the FE14’s trackpad isn’t as responsive as those on the HP Envy 15, Dell XPS, or Lenovo Yoga laptops, it does include actual left and right click buttons. Even though it reduces the size of the trackpad surface, it is an uncommon feature to find these days. The trackpad also contains a fingerprint reader in the upper right corner. Because of the keyboard’s big, springy keys and compact frame, typing is comfortable for extended periods of time.

The chassis also has connectors like an HDMI port, an ethernet port, and an SD card slot, which are becoming less common in laptops. Although having a 2MP resolution, the camera features a privacy shutter.

It has a cute style.

The subtle symbol of the Vaio FE14’s basic yet attractive design. It is available in rose gold, silver, and black, and all three colour combinations look great. Although though the tiny body isn’t quite as thin as a MacBook Air, it nevertheless has a compact enough footprint to fit into almost any backpack.

What bothers us

The display is drab and dim.

One of the worst laptop displays we’ve recently seen is the one on this device. The image seems flat and dim since it is just 300 nits bright and only 65% of the standard RGB colour gamut is covered by its colour palette.

Most professional laptops in the same price range as the Vaio FE14 feature displays that are at least 350 nits bright and 90% sRGB colour gamut covered. Examples include the HP Envy 15 and the Asus Zenbook 13 S OLED.
