Modern appliance design is increasingly relying on stainless steel, which gives even the most basic kitchen a hint of sophistication. Yet stainless steel is more than just aesthetically pleasing.
It has been demonstrated that when used inside a dishwasher instead of plastic, it reduces operation noise, provides a better cleaning experience, and effectively dries dishes. Although stainless steel dishwashers are a little more costly, they are worth the additional few hundred dollars or so.
At Tested, we have evaluated countless dishwashers, several of which included stainless steel tubs. Because to its incredible cleaning power, stylish design, and silent operation, the Bosch 800 Series SHPM88Z75N (available at Appliances Connection) is now our favourite.

DUT25401X by Beko
The Beko DUT25401X is our clear choice for the most budget dishwasher since it provides the finest balance of potent performance and low price that we’ve discovered (that also happens to have a stainless steel finish).
This Beko performed admirably. Its rapid cycle and regular cycle are both somewhat above average, but its heavy cycle is an absolute powerhouse and received a score very close to flawless. The drying mechanism also performs well; following the Normal cycle, every plate and glass was completely dry.
The DUT25401X also consumes a lot less water and power each cycle than is typical. It is not only officially certified by Energy Star, but it was also selected as one of the Most Efficient Models for 2021.
Lastly, this device is user-friendly in a number of significant and considerate ways. The upper rack has various dish-friendly tines and an inclined height adjustment. In addition, there are two adjustable-height wine racks and a third, smaller rack.
Our main criticism is that it’s a little challenging to operate the control panel. It appears to take much more pressure than is necessary to press the buttons. Although it’s not a deal-breaker, it’s a strange omission for a dishwasher given all the other benefits it provides.
- outstanding performance
- One of the dishwashers with the best value for the money
- difficult to operate control panel

The SGX78B55UC/13 from Bosch’s 800 Series adds ADA accessible features to their renowned heating and drying power. It is quick, has adequate power to remove stains, and uses a new version of Bosch’s CrystalDry technology to dry every dish correctly on every cycle.
Smart features, a third rack, an adjustable top rack, and foldable tines in its bottom rack are other highlights of the SGX78B55UC/13. Since it complies with ADA standards, it is physically smaller, accessible from the front, and equipped with controls that can be used with only one hand and little force.
Overall, this dishwasher is amazing thanks to some good accessibility considerations, Bosch’s powerful performance and clever features, and more. The only problem we had was with spinach redeposit, and that was a problem.
- outstanding cleaning ability
- dries the dishes

SHPM88Z75N by Bosch
Bosch’s SHPM88Z75N provides powerful, silent cleaning. At only 40 dBA, it’s one of the quietest dishwashers we’ve ever tested. Our strongest stains, including burnt-on cheese and spinach, were removed by it. The one flaw we saw was redeposit, or food fragments spreading to other plates from one dish. Nevertheless, this issue affects a lot of dishwashers.
The CrystalDry function of the SHPM88Z75N also makes use of zeolite, which heats up when it comes into touch with water. Even plastic containers are thoroughly dried with this dishwasher at a tenth of the energy cost of conventional heating.
The SHPM88Z75N’s thorough drying will help you save a lot of time and work if you often use plastic food storage containers.
- plastics drying
- outstanding stain removal
- low-key operation

G 5266 SCVi SFP Miele
An excellent high-end alternative is the Miele G 5266 SCVi SF. The overwhelming majority of the dishes we ran came out immaculate, ranking its cleaning ability among the finest of the best. In comparison to comparable dishwashers, there were half as many dishes where we could not discover even a trace of dirt. And yet, a typical cycle lasts just 108 minutes, which is 30 minutes shorter than usual.
Also, it is intelligently designed. The third and higher racks are adjustable, and the pocket handle is stylish, so you can be sure there is space for anything you need to wash. Very well considered is the layout of the third rack.
Considering how smoothly the G 5266 performs, there isn’t much to say about it. We do wish that a guarantee longer than the two years Miele gives could be had at this price. Nonetheless, if your budget allows for it, this is a great option.
- powerful cleaning abilities
- Third rack and an upper adjustable rack
- Nothing noteworthy that we could identify

The other racks include movable tines to assist accommodate odd plates, while the third rack offers space for ladles and other bigger utensils in addition to your cutlery. A sleek, elegant appeal is provided by the control panel’s futuristic appearance and fingerprint-resistant stainless steel surface.
The performance of the Samsung DW80R9950UT matches its attractive appearance. Almost 97% of our test food stains were cleaned with the Quick cycle. Both Normal and Heavy scored above 99%. It’s fantastic that the Heavy cycle only lasts roughly 2.5 hours because it’s not rare for heavy cycles to last up to 4 hours.
The dish drying was virtually flawless, and there was little any spinach redeposit. The Samsung DW80R9950UT is an excellent option since it is easy to use, stylish, and powerful.
